Studies in Christian Education, by Edward A. Sutherland:

This course of lectures delivered by Dr. E. A. Sutherland, set forth the fact that the great Protestant denominations failed to give the first angel's message in its fullness because they did not free themselves from the Papal system of education. The Lord has been telling our people that we as individuals are in positive danger of suffering the same defeat as they, if we continue to cling to these worldly methods.

Place of the Bible in Education, by Alonzo T. Jones:

Christian education has all but disappeared from the majority of educational systems around the world. As governments limit or banish God from among our schools in the name of "separation of church and state, " we find the very foundation upon which many schools began disintegrating before our eyes. This is not a new problem. Over the centuries people have had the same concern of what is true education and the place of religion in the educational system. Among these were the newly devoted Christians arising from the Great Advent movement sweeping North America during the 18th and 19th century. Author Alonzo T. Jones, an important figure in the Great Advent movement, felt that Christians should take a solid look at the educational systems of that day. Jones believed that true Christian education was the only becoming choice to Christians. In The Place of the Bible in Education, he outlines according to the Bible what exactly Christian education looks like. He also explores the true meaning of the separation between church and state and how Christian education does not fall under such discrimination. In this book (provided all in audio), he discusses how secular education falls short of even the true meaning of education and how this has an adverse affect on our young people. Jones shows how there is a Biblical precedent for true education and how the Bible should and can become part of the educational system.

Studies in the Book of Galatians, by Alonzo T. Jones:

"The subject in the book of Galatians is the gospel. Gal. 1:8, 9. In the way the subject is discussed, however, it is two gospels,--the true gospel as against a false one,--the true gospel as against a perversion of that gospel. Verse 6, 7.

"Now the true gospel is the gospel of the true way of salvation from sin. And as the subject in Galatians is the true gospel as against a false one, therefore the subject of the book of Galatians is the true way of salvation from sin as against a false way – the true way of salvation as against a perversion of that way.

"Accordingly, we there read that when Peter and others 'walked not uprightly according to the truth of the gospel,' and Paul withstood Peter to the face on account of it, these are the words with which he withstood him: 'Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law; for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified... I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.'" Gal. 2:16, 21.
