Christ our Saviour:
Ellen Gould White (November 26, 1827 – July 16, 1915) was a prolific author and an American Christian pioneer. She, along with other Sabbatarian Adventist leaders, such as Joseph Bates and her husband James White, formed the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Among her most influential works are:
Steps to Christ (official site) (1892), a classic, concise (evangelical) treatment of personal devotional topics.
Christ's Object Lessons (1900), about the parables of Jesus.
Education (1903), principles of Christian education
The Ministry of Healing (1905), instructions on healthy living and the care of others.
Thoughts from the Mount of Blessing (1896), about Christ's Sermon on the Mount.
Conflict of the Ages book series:
Patriarchs and Prophets (official site) (1890), covering Genesis to the end of King David's reign.
Prophets and Kings (official site) (1917), covering King Solomon's reign to the last prophetic book of the Old Testament.
The Desire of Ages (official site) (1898), covering the life and ministry of Jesus.
The Acts of the Apostles (official site) (1911), describing the twelve apostles and the early Christian church.
The Great Controversy (official site) (1858, 1884, 1888, 1911), about church history viewed in terms of the conflict between Christ and Satan.
Christ's Object Lessons:
The Parables of Christ masterfully told.
A book that will draw you closer to God... a book that you will treasure for years to come. Available in book and M.P.3. C.D.
Sketches from the Life of Paul:
In this work the history of Paul's life is treated in a clear and interesting manner. The apostle's allusions to himself in his epistles are connected with the record in the book of Acts in such a manner as to throw great light both on the epistles and the "Acts." But that which gives this book (provided all in audio) its greatest value is the lessons that are drawn from Paul's words, and the hardships which he endured, and their practical application to our own times.
Conflict and Courage:
Prophets and priests, kings and apostles, parade through the inspired pages (provided all in audio) of this daily devotional. Arranged roughly in chronological order, each reading focuses on some decisive moment in salvation history, and shows how the lessons of the past illuminate our future. In the exploits and failures of saints and sinners we find counsel, comfort and hope for today- a passing of the torch-so that the same faith that blazed in God's servants of old might burn anew in us.
Confrontation:
"Once in a lonely desert Jesus, the Creator, was put to the test by Satan, His most cunning creature, and the fate of the world hung in the balance. Emaciated by 40 days of fasting, He faced the most enticing sophistries of the great deceiver and met each seductive argument with Scripture: ""It is written.""
Confrontation explains the secret of Jesus' victory in the wilderness of temptation, and how it can be yours today. Ellen White delves beneath the surface to reveal the eternal consequences at stake in the ongoing battle between good and evil. This volume will give you spiritual strength and added courage in your own struggles with the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life.
